As the urge to “go green” and preserve the environment gains popularity, more and more companies are jumping on board.  One company here on the Gulf Coast is helping local businesses “go green” with many of their routine administrative functions.  Not only is it helping the environment, but it is also helping employers cut costs and increase efficiencies.

Exactly what does going “completely green” entail?  First of all, HR Fusion teaches their clients to ditch the punch clocks and manual time sheets, and go with an efficient automated Time & Attendance system.  All of the information uploads to a secure website, so the client has access to real-time information, and doesn’t have to manually add time sheets.  This saves paper, time, money and costly errors.  At HR Fusion, all employment taxes are filed and paid electronically. The company offers direct deposit to their clients at a very low fee, which cuts down on paper, gas to go to the bank, and is a huge convenience to the employee.  HR Fusion also knows that all of their clients’ employees don’t have checking accounts, so they offer Pay Cards for those “unbanked” employees.  Printing direct deposit stubs may defeat the savings from not printing checks, right?  Not necessarily.
